Rabbi Jeremy Wieder, a Rosh Yeshiva at Yeshiva University, is the Joseph and Gwendolyn Straus Professor of Talmud in the University's Mazer Yeshiva Program and an Adjunct Professor of Bible at Yeshiva College. He was ordained by RIETS and holds a PhD in Judaic Studies from New York University. | | Teen Book Club | | Our second book club meeting was held last Shabbat, where we discussed the "Shadow Thieves", by Anne Ursa. Thank you to Navah Wolfe for a wonderful job leading the group. After the discussion, Nava raffled off a signed copy of our next book, "Chains," which is published by her place of work, Simon and Schuster. Congratulations to Jackie Bein, our winner!
Let's start reading our next book - "Chains" by Lauri Halse Anderson to be able to participate in the discussion at our next meeting in January!(more details forthcoming)
The library in Stamford has not received the book yet, however, some copies have been ordered and will be put on hold at Borders under Sharon Shavrick's name. Barnes and Noble has about 6 copies. You can also order on Amazon for $11.55, or used for as low as $4.95.
