The annual dinner is a wonderful opportunity for our members and friends to enjoy an exceptional evening together.  It is the shul's biggest fundraiser and we appreciate your full support.  Please do not wait to respond. Make a note in your calendar and plan to attend!

In an attempt to funnel all fundraising efforts directly to synagogue needs and programming, the journal will be published in an alternate format this year.  We are proud to introduce our first virtual journal accessible on-line.  At the dinner you will find a commemorative honor roll listing on your table.

We will  forward a link to the journal in formation through the weekly email. It will be exciting to watch it build from week to week!

Please send all ads by March 9th.

The Avon Theatre is located at 272 Bedford Street, Stamford

Based on Lynn Nicholas' award-winning book, The Rape of Europa is an epic story of the systematic theft, deliberate destruction and miraculous survival of Europe's art treasures during the Second World War.  It interweavesthe history of Nazi art looting with the stories of contemporary restitution cases, including Gustav Klimt's portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer.  This famed Gold Portrait, stolen from Viennese Jews in 1938 is now the most expensive painting ever sold.  It also tells of the unprecedented heroic efforts of the U.S. "Monuments Men" who safeguarded and returned displaced art after WWII.   Narrated by Joan Allen this breathtaking chronicle about the battle over the very survival of centuries of western culture continues to play out , even today, as families of looted collectors recover major works of art, conservators repair battle damage, and nations fight over the fate of ill-gotten spoils of war.
